General Rules And Regulations

“To obey God’s order as delivered by conscience is duty, to obey man’s order as issued by rightful authority is discipline. The foundations of both alike is denial of self for higher good. Unless the lesson of duty be first well learned and lesson of discipline can be imperfectly understood.”

Discipline is an integral part of the learning process and essential for the all round development of the child.’

  1. Every student is given a copy of the school calendar and prospectus which must be brought daily to the school.
  2. All pupils shall make themselves acquainted with the rules and regulations notified for their conduct. Ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse.
  3. When the first bell rings all pupils are expected to get into their respective classes in silence and prepare for the day’s lesson. When the second bell rings, all pupils should assemble in the school quadrangle in order and in silence. After the assembly they should proceed to their classes in perfect order.
  4. When the teacher enters the classroom, the pupils shall rise, greet him/her and remain standing till they are asked to sit or the teacher takes his / her seat. They shall thank the teacher when the class is over.
  5. All shall remain silent and study till the teacher comes to the class.
  6. Punctuality and regular attendance is insisted upon. Late comers, without written explanation from the parents or the guardian, will not be admitted to the class. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of home work, misbehavior even outside the school premises and insubordination to school authorities can bring about disciplinary action against the student.
  7. Students who are absent for a month without permission will have their names struck off the rolls. If they seek re-admission they will be charged admission fees.
  8. Students must behave in a gentle manner both inside and outside the school. Perfect silence must be observed in the class rooms.
  9. Since language is a matter of habit and practice all students especially the English Medium students are expected to speak only English when they are in the school campus.
  10. Class rooms are reserved for study only and not for any recreation. Pupils are forbidden to disfigure or write or scribble on the walls or furniture, litter papers in the class rooms or in any way damage the school property.
  11. Any kind of damage caused by the student to school property such as equipments, furniture, building etc., will have to be made good by the student himself.
  12. Every student shall greet the teachers of the school when he or she meets them in the class as well as when he or she first meets them in the school premises.
  13. No student is allowed to bring to the class room any article, book or magazine not approved by the school.
  14. No student shall enter any classrooms other than his/ her own without permission. They shall also not enter the Staff Room without permission. The students can change their places in the class room only with the permission of the class teacher.
  15. No student is allowed to leave the school premises without the permission of the teacher.
  16. All student are expected to take part in the assembly. Students who desire to be exempted from physical training or games on medical grounds should produce a medical certificate.
  17. Students who fail to show interest and progress in studies will be asked to leave the school without prior information. They must be up-to-date in their works. The Principal may conduct inspection at any time.
  18. The students are permitted to stay in the school premises for games and other co-curricular activities only till 5.00 p.m. The schools authorities will not be responsible for the safety of the children after school time.
  19. Students, who fail in the same class for two years consecutively, will be given T.C. compulsorily. So also a student who discontinues the school during the year.
  20. No student shall be promoted to the next standard or admitted to the Public Examination, unless the student has attended the classes for the required number of working days.
  21. Students who come late and who have been absent on the previous day must bring the late attendance or absence record signed by their parents or guardian. Late comers are liable to lose attendance for the day.
  22. In all forseen events, such as marriage, Pilgrimage, religious ceremony and incase of prolonged illness etc., leave of absence must be obtained before hand from the principal. Leave application for illness must be validated by medical practitioner.
  23. Activities such as running playing or shouting inside the school building will never be allowed. While passing along the corridors during the class hours, students should maintain pin-drop silence.
